THE OLLLAM

THE OLLLAM is a transatlantic collective that blends Irish traditional music with Detroit’s psychedelic post-rock energy. Led by John McSherry (uilleann pipes, whistles) and Joe Dart of Vulpeck (bass), the lineup includes Michael Shimmin (drums), Ross Ainslie (whistles), Seán O’Meara (guitar), and Joe Hettinga (keys). Their sound is deep, rhythmic, and melodic- rooted in tradition but reaching into bold, cinematic territory.

Following their acclaimed 2022 album elllegy, which earned RTÉ Radio 1’s Best Group, THE OLLLAM have toured extensively, playing to SOLD OUT crowds at London’s EartH Theatre, Mandela Hall Belfast, and Vicar Street Dublin.

With growing momentum and an international fanbase, THE OLLLAM are on a mission to redefine the boundaries of Celtic and post-rock music.

In 2025, they embarked on their biggest tour to date, selling out venues across Ireland and the UK, including SOLD OUT nights at Vicar Street Dublin, Mandela Hall Belfast, and London’s EartH Theatre.

Following their tour, THE OLLLAM appeared as special guests during Zedd’s headlining set on the Outdoor Theatre stage at Coachella 2025, performing their collaboration track Sona from his album Telos. The performance, watched by millions, was part of a star-studded lineup that included John Mayer, Maren Morris, Elley Duhé, Julia Michaels, and Bea Miller.

THE OLLLAM also recently shared the spotlight with rising Belfast actor Anthony Boyle (Say Nothing, The Alturists), who delivered a powerful spoken-word performance during one of their 2025 headline shows in his hometown of Belfast.

From ancient airs to future soundscapes, THE OLLLAM are not just carrying the tradition forward, they’re reinventing it.
